Keep alive goes into a not responding mode about every 5 seconds in Task Manager

description

Hi I am currently trying to use KeepAliveHD in order to keep the USB 3.0 drives from constantly disconnecting in Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials. I am using 2 Mediasonic HF2-SU3S2 4 bay drive enclosures along with 3 SATA internal drives and 2 more drives in a HDD dock that also connects with USB 3. All of the drives except the system drives are pooled together using StableBit DrivePool and I have a total of around 24 TB of data storage. I was up until about 20 days ago running the same set up on a different PC using WSE2012 minus the R2 and I was having USB 3 issues but was blaming it on the USB 3.0 pcie card that I had bought. Now that I am having the same issue on a PC that has USB 3.0 integrated into the system I am rethinking that the card was the issue and that the power settings in Windows 8 is causing me the issue. Anyway when I first installed KeepAliveHD it seemed like it was working well but the more drives I added the less stable it seemed to get also it seems like I have to have a write every second in order to keep the drives connected. I still occasionally have the drives disappearing and I am not sure if that is happening when KeepAlive isn't responding or if it isn't responding when the drives go dead. I don't seem to be losing the drives as often as it goes in to an unresponsive state. Was wondering if you could offer any insight to this behavior.
